Brother label maker Dec 01, 2008 Brother QL-570 Professional Label Printer
Works great, such a time saver when making small amounts of labels on the fly.
OH BROTHER! Nov 27, 2008 This does not work with Mac OS 10.5.5. You need to update the drivers and then the application, or is it the other way around? When you need the application, they require the serial number which then says you don't have the the right number (which it was). You then call and wait 30 minutes to be told you need wait another unannounced time to talk to the Mac department, which never did answer. I shoved it back in the box after 5 hours of trying to get to run and sent it back to the dealer. Brother has some very serious customer service problems as well as hardware and software issues. When the CSR hang up on you, you know you've bought the wrong item! This is a problem device and they even ask you if it's a QL-570, indicating to me, that they have many issues and complaints with it. Stay away is my advice, it's not a good thing!
Great label printer, easy to use Nov 20, 2008 Very fast label printer with very easy to use software. No complaints at all.

does not work with other applications! Oct 29, 2008 I found, after buying this printer, that unlike my previous Dymo label system, the Brother printer cannot work from other applications. I can't use my mail merge or database software, graphics programs, etc. The printer will only print with Brother's editor program. And as others have stated, the editor program is confusing, poorly documented, and hard to use.
I'm going to return this printer and get another Dymo.

Bad bad bad - worst customer service ever Sep 17, 2008 I go this very promising printer and it did print and didn't cut the labels at the wrong places. I called Brother 10 or 15 times after being in a waiting line for 30 minutes or so and being transferred 3 to 5 times and having to give my phone number over and over again I get hang up as soon as I reach the Mac department. Brother printer aren't that bad but they aren't that great either. And they are definitely not worth for you to wait on the phone for several hours in case you need help or the product is defect like in my case.
