Good for what it is! Sep 06, 2010
Everything worked great until the clip broke within a month of ownership and I almost lost it. Other than that it is a handy tool to keep in the glove compartment for little fixes hear and there. I love the larger versions of Gerber and I will stick with them in the future!

I just recently received this item as a gift. The inherent design means there are some limitations to it. However, for what its made for, its pretty handy. The locking feature is nice and secure. The knife is pretty sharp right out of the box. It's a great little tool for your Everyday Carry (EDC).

Had it hooked to my key chain. The clip busted off in less than a week. I'd pass on this if I were you.

Of course 'the best tool is the one you have with you,' but I'm not sure this is the best one to have with you! I wanted something tiny, with a blade and a few other tools. The thing is, this is short, but it's chunky so it makes my keychain much bulkier than before. I may go back to my small Swiss Army Classic knife that's been around for years. The tools on this seem more well made, but no small tool is up to a huge task anyway. What I'm missing here is the scissors, tweezers and toothpick - tools more suited to their size - a more functional file, and a slim profile. (Better yet, someone find me a tiny multi-tool without a blade that I can take on the plane...)

Bought this Gerber to have a little knife on my keys. I never seem to have the others around when I need them. This one is about as big as a thumb, so its perfect for what I need. Love the clip and the bottle opener. Haven't used the other tools yet, but they look handy. Locking mechanism works well for me and the clip seems sturdy. Very happy with this purchase.
