 Amazing tool for quick fix maintenance Sep 07, 2010
I work flightline maintenance as an avionics technician and a majority of the work I do involves small fixes to different parts of an airplane. I am always popping open access panels, removing radio control-heads, tightening loose screws, re-seating LRUs, cutting safety wire, pulling cotter pins, unjarring camlocks, etc. This is the most used tool I have with me. The screwdriver alone deploys and is ready for use in one movement of the tool where my coworkers can take up to 10 seconds to unfold a flat tip from their Gerber, SOG, or other Leatherman products. It is not the strongest of multitools, but in my opinion it doesn't need to be. I have actual tools for in depth aircraft maintenance. I also have the Leatherman 931014 40-Bit Assortment for Leatherman Bit Drivers and Leatherman 931009 Bit Driver Extension which have further broadened the ability of this useful sidekick.
Pros:
Super lightweight
Fastest overall tool deployment in the mutlitool world
Looks great
Additional bit set and extension make it even better
Cons:
Won't replace and entire tool set (Not much of a con IMO. Buying a multitool to replace the functionality of a respectable tool set is like buying a motorcycle and expecting it to perform like a truck.)

This is easily the best multitool on the market. I've used mine for over a year and purchased a 2nd one for my toolkit. This tool sees everyday use at home AND at work. Aside from some ocasional knife sharpening it hasn't required any maintenance. The smaller of the screw driver is small enough to be used on tiny computer screws while the larger #2 driver works for everything else. The pliers are notched so larger cables can be stripped as well as cut.
The leatherman guarantee is excellent as well. I have a non CX skeletool that broke last year. Leatherman fixed it for the cost of shipping only. Excellent tool. Excellent manufacturer

I have had this tool for 2 years and love it. Its got the basics and nothing else. Light, sturdy and useful. I feel good just knowing this thing is in my pack. Day hike of overnighter this thing goes everywhere I go.
The multi-tool you will actually carry everyday Aug 31, 2010
I have several multi-tools that do more than this, but this one I carry everyday.It is light and the pocket clip keeps it away from my keys and phone. Be careful the knife is VERY sharp.

This is a great tool, all the essentials, none of the garbage. Also, it doesn't need a holster since it clips right to your belt - which is nice.
Shame on Amazon for taking a week to ship this. They used to ship items within a day, but they've been stretching their dates out further and further over the years - probably to urge people to pay for shipping. Again, shame on Amazon.
