A Must have for a family emergency box Aug 25, 2010 I do appreciate the construction of Mag-Lite flashlights. This
one is no exception. With this model utilizing an LED,
My D batteries do last much longer. The purpose of this flashlight
for me was to be part of a comprehensive preparedness box and
fulfills that purpose quite well. Beam is solid and its
reach is as it suggests.
Very satisfied. Jul 28, 2010 One of the best torch lights that I've owned ever. Very bright, solid and sturdy!
"the sun" Jul 23, 2010 I work at a summer camp and my campers have nick named my flashlight "the sun" because of how bright it is. It's kinda heavy but it's such a great flashlight.
Solid Light, nice bright LED bulb. Jul 15, 2010 Solid construction as always with a Mag-Lite. The LED upgrade to the bulb is nice and bright!

Really bright, durable Jul 04, 2010 I was first introduced to Mag-Lite's in law enforcement use almost thirty years ago and have always been impressed with their rugged reliability and quality construction, so it was the first brand I looked at when I decided to get a LED flashlight. Before ordering, I was a little concerned about the single LED, since 3 watts doesn't seem like a lot, but this sucker is bright! In fact, it seems just as bright the old Mag-Lite "Krypton" bulbs, and you don't have to constantly replace batteries! I have no idea how long the batteries will last, but with just a 3 watt draw, it should be a long time. Another advantage of the single LED is that it can be focused to a really tight beam if desired. Of course, as with all Mag-Lites, it can be adjusted to a flood if necessary. I experienced no "black spot" in the middle of the beam, as some reported, and the light was a brilliant pure white. I highly recommend this flashlight, and, as a bonus, Mag-Lite's are "Made in the USA".
